The USA Health Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in Mobile, Alabama, is a one-year ACGME-accredited program founded in 2008. Our mission is to train sports medicine experts who will help people of all backgrounds and levels of activity lead longer, better lives.
Our fellows are team physicians for the University of South Alabama (DI), Spring Hill College (DII), Mobile County Public High Schools and the Mobile Ballet. In addition, we cover several local sporting events including 5K/10K races and a pole vault event held on the streets of downtown Mobile.
In the clinical setting, fellows work closely with multiple specialties to ensure well-rounded training. We care for a broad range of injuries and disorders and are a referral source for our region. Our primary care experience is associated with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that integrates care with an onsite pharmacy, clinical pharmacists, clinical psychologist, and in-house counseling. Fellows will learn advanced diagnostic and interventional ultrasound and will be eligible to sit for the RMSK upon graduation.
We have a 100% CAQ first-time pass rate. Our program is open to physicians who have completed residency training and are board certified or board eligible in family medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, internal medicine, or med/peds. If you are interested in applying, please use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), ACGME ID: 1270112128. In the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) you can find us under ID 1852127F2.
